Top 6 Outfits for Fall Photoshoot | Alison Therese Photography
With Fall Sessions rolling in, I have had quite a few questions about wardrobe. What your family wears is important to the look of the session. I always suggest that mom finds her outfit first. If Mom is not comfortable in what she is wearing, then she will not radiate the love and beauty that is in her soul.
The great thing about fall is that layering is key. So, try that scarf that you haven’t worn yet, treat yourself to a new hat or those booties that you have had your eye on forever. I have searched some of my favorite websites for my top 6 Outfits for Fall Photoshoots.
1. Margot Dress in Navy Polka Dot by Joyfolie
Let’s start with my favorite color. This long sleeve maxi with a V-neck has a gorgeous slit in the sleeves adding to the wonderful detail. The dress has such great movement that I can invision a twirling picture with your little one or walking though a field with your love. The styling of this outfit is also on point with a great hat and belt. Joyfolie is also great for accessories too, so check them out.
2. Frilled Tie Neck Pleated Belted Dress by Shein
Moving on to the color of the season. Mustard yellow is it! I have looked at so many dresses of this color and I love the feel of this one. The puffy sleeves with the adorable cuffs and the pleats – Gah! Also, looking through lots and lots of fall outfits, I have noticed that high necks with detail are definitely in this season. If this is not your cup of tea, there is also a maxi version of this dress on Pinkblush, that would also work for my expecting mamas, that also has the adorable billowing sleeves.
3. Autumn Bodycon Tie Waist Pencil Dress by R.Vivimos
Seen in army green, this Bodycon dress comes in 18 different colors from red wine to light grey. This highly rated amazon dress costs under $25 dollars and would look adorable with some booties. As one review stated, “it’s snug but in a perfect way” covering any imperfections you may think you have. I love the army green color because I think it would be striking against the changing fall foliage but there really are a ton of great colors to choose from. The more I look at this dress the more I want to get it for Thanksgiving this year.
4. Taupe Crochet Front Ruffle Hem Long Sleeve Top by PinkBlush
For all the woman looking through these thinking I am crazy for suggesting dresses for the fall – this tunic really caught my eye. I love the crochet accent on the front and the ruffle hem! This shirt with its bohemian accents is perfect for strolling and laughing with your family on a fall day. One of the best things is that it is easy to coordinate with the rest of the family. Your daughter can wear the outfit that you have been eyeing and this will surely go with it.
5. Floral Tunic Pleated Swing Midi Dress by Vansha
I love the print on this one. There are so many great colors to pick from for the fam to wear. Florals are in for the fall and this one has the perfect tones. The best part is if you are a last minute shopper, this is on Amazon Prime!! At around $20, this dress is sure to please. Pair it with some cute booties and a hat to dress it up or find a coordinating statement necklace. Fall is all about the layering!
6. Tela Skirt in Deep Plum by Joyfolie
As always, I saved my favorite for last. This deep plum skirt has a playful asymmetrical hem with a slit up the leg. Seen paired with boots, a hat and the Paula Pullover in mahogany it would be beautiful in the grassland as well as in colorful leaves of autumn. I love this for the ease and comfort it provides but it also shows some drama. I can just see a little ones face up against the ruffles playing “shy guy” with me. It could be that I am a sucker for this because I would love to have this be my go to look but don’t know how to pull it off so jeans and a t-shirt it is.
