Top 3 Reasons NOT to sign your kids up for ATP Kids Camera Camp

Top 3 Reasons NOT to sign your kids up for ATP Kids Camera Camp

1. You can’t wait to spend all summer with your kids doing nothing.

As annoyed as I get with E-learning, I am trying to figure out how I am going to keep my kids busy all summer without summer camps, events, all the things.  This will keep them busy for at least an hour a week with minimal assistance from you.

2. You are worried about them destroying your camera.

That is why this class is so great.  Not only will I teach them camera safety, but they will also gain respect for the camera and its functions. If you are still worried there are many ways to be creative with camera phones and I have some great low cost/ great function cameras for each age found here.

3.  You hate your kids learning from people who know what they are talking about.

I, Alison of Alison Therese Photography, have a BFA and MA in photography and Digital Imaging.  Having a BFA in Art education I was a teacher for 10 years, teaching photography for 3 of those years.  I have tons of knowledge that I can’t wait to share with your kids.

Introducing ATP Kids Camera Camp

I, Alison of Alison Therese Photography, will take your kids through a 5-week camp of fun, creativity, and visual learning.  The next session will take place June 27- July 29 .  We will start with the basics on what a camera is, how it captures an image, how to use it, and how to protect it (it is your friend). We will then move on to weekly projects to explore the kids’ visual atmosphere.

Week 1 – Your child will watch a 13 minute video on the lesson for week 1 before hopping on a Zoom call with 9 friends to talk about their upcoming assignment.  Your new “photographers” will then take pictures for the project and upload their 10 favorite images into a Dropbox folder.

Week 2-4- Your photographers will watch a 14-21 minute video on the lesson for the week and then join their friends for a Zoom critique where we will review the previous weeks assignments and have a Q and A about the next week.  The “photographers” will then take pictures for the project and upload their 10 favorite images into a Dropbox folder.

Week 5- We will have a Zoom gallery show exhibiting the photographers’ work.

The 5 week course will be $125. It will include access to the weekly videos, a weekly PDF of photography material, 5 Zoom sessions and a special surprise at the end.  Please click to sign up.  (Do not be concerned about the time it is just a place holder).
