Top 5 Reasons NOT to take a Camera Class

Top 5 Reasons NOT to take a Camera Class | ATP Camera Class

1.   You already know how to work your camera.

In the ATP Camera Class you will learn how to take the camera off of ‘Automatic’ setting.  I know what you are thinking, “What if I screw it up and can’t get the picture I want?”  Trust me, it is easier than you think and will completely change the look of your images.  You will choose how your pictures look, not the camera.

2.   You are busy, busy, busy and your kids won’t look that different next year.

Sure you can wait another year to learn how to use your camera more successfully, but I bet you bought it to take pictures of the adorable things your kids are doing right now.  Time is so very fleeting.  Want to capture those baby thigh rolls?  Or your 3 year old’s aggravation when her hair falls in her eyes?  How about your 5 year old trying to concentrate on homework with chaos going on around him?  These are the moments only you see and only you can document.  But sure, wait, they won’t change so much in the next 12 months.  Lol!  Been there, thought that!  Do it now to get now on film.

3.   You hate learning from people who know what they are talking about.

Alison has her BFA and MA in photography and Digital Imaging.  She was a teacher for 10 years, teaching photography for 3 of those years.  She has tons of knowledge that she can’t wait to share with you.  Even the most accomplished artists (including Alison), throughout their lives, continue to learn new techniques.

4.   You plan on opening your own photo business.

All joking aside this class is not for you.  There are many photographers offering mentorships and I may do that one day, but that is not what this class is about.  This class is about learning how to document your life.

5.   You hate visual media especially photography…

Seriously why are you even on my website.  Go away!

ATP Camera Class | Capturing Memories

Okay good, so all 5 of those criteria don’t pertain to you.  I am super excited to be hosting an ATP Camera Class this winter via Zoom. Join me for a beginner class that will walk you through the basics of using your camera.

You will learn how to navigate the aperture and shutter speed, capturing your kids in their natural element, as well as how to control focus and light all for $99.

Class will be around two hours long. You will receive a guide to follow along with and can take notes. Then you will take what you learned into practice for two weeks.  We will reconvene three weeks later to ask questions and show what you have learned.

BONUS!!!  You will have the option to join a private Facebook group where, after class, you can share the images you take and receive guidance from me, as well as give feedback and encouragement to each other.  There is always learning to be had.
